This Equality Diversity and Inclusion training raises awareness of the issues to aid understanding of the differences individuals may have and why everyone must be treated equally.
The course covers what equality diversity and inclusion is, key legislation, protected characteristics, discrimination, other unacceptable behaviours and practical steps that everyone can take.
At the end of this course your staff will be able to
- Raise awareness of how equality & diversity are integral to individualised care,
- Understanding how prejudices develop & may influence the care we provide,
- Understand the importance of delivering care free from discriminatory practice,
- Understand how discrimination, stereotyping and prejudice form barriers to equality.
